I found yoga in college. I took a relaxation techniques class and I knew something was there, but I sort of put it in the back of my mind for a bit. A few years later, I bought some VHS yoga tapes. Back then, there weren’t many yoga studios around, so if you were practicing, it was mostly at home. I found Steve Ross Inhale yoga on TV right around this time, and this is when I really feel in love with yoga. His humor and his spirit really moved me. I was hooked! (You can still find his Inhale yoga on YouTube, and I highly recommend it!)

Ever since then, yoga has been a big presence in my life. I practiced for about 20 years before going to Yoga Teacher Training. After YTT, I taught for a while, but really craved my own space- to be able to teach how I wanted to in a space that I created. I opened Yoga Love in North Ridgeville in 2018. It was open for a year and half. It was joyous and stressful all at the same time! My main gig is as a college Instructor (I teach psychology and sociology), and between that and running the studio, my home life suffered. I have 4 kids who needed more of me. So that will be on hold until they are much older.

My love and passion for the healing of yoga is as strong as ever! I once heard that “yoga is everything”- it can be healing, strong, calm, fast, slow, cardio. It can be whatever you need. I run and practice yoga every day. I can’t imagine my life without them- they remind me to breathe, to stay centered, and not to lose my mind! My yoga classes are strong and centered, with some lightness and humor mixed in. I love to start and end slowly, but build some heat in between. I like a great playlist too. I can’t wait to share my practice with you, and for you to share your practice with me 😊
